Jaybird has been rehomed and is living the life of a happy hunting dog!
Our spoiled Jack Russell Terrier females have given us much joy and many wonderful puppies, however, when they are retired it is important to get them a great home!
Jay featured below has been a great momma and has given us much joy and many wonderful puppies, however, she has been retired and we are excited to share that she was adopted last week, and is now living in Oregon, and will be able to do what she loves … HUNT!
Jay is 8 years old, she was imported from England in 2010, and is an absolute sweetheart and lover of people.
Here at British Grit Jack Russell Terriers we love our dogs that are part of our breeding program.
It has been our experience with many of our females that the average age of retirement is about eight+ years old.
Our Spoiled Jack Russell Terrier Females
In the eight+ years that our females are part of our breeding program, they live both outside in the kennel, and in the house. While they are outside in the kennel they get to run and play outside in our huge yard, often with one of our stud dogs, either Meynell-Sundance Sam or Meynell-Sundance Donald.
Jay who is pictured above, did not get along with other dogs, so during her outdoor play she hunted and played and enjoyed being loved on by her humans.
When RushHill Jay, or the expected female is close to having her litter of puppies they are brought into the house to live where they are very spoiled, get a diet rich in meat until her puppies are weaned and sent to their new homes.
It is very important to us that our retired females who have served us very well are adopted by loving families that will also spoil them!
