Ruby’s new owner had previously loved and cared for a Jack Russell Terrier named Fred, who lived a long and happy 17 years. After Fred crossed the rainbow bridge, he took three years before deciding he was ready for another dog.
It wasn’t about replacing Fred—it was about finding the perfect match.
That’s when he met Ruby.

At first, he wasn’t sure if he was ready to adopt. But Ruby knew better.
The moment he arrived, she jumped into his lap, sniffed out the treats in his pocket, and made herself at home in both his arms and his heart.
